Picoscope 6 / DrDAQ and FRA4PicoScope

Post by PhilThom »

I am looking for the verification of the gain of some Operational Amplifier using the signal generator from Picoscope 6 and DrDAQ 6, for different amplitudes of the entry signal. Looking at the post in the forum I found the FRA4Picoscope and downloaded it. Launch the App, DrdAQ connecetd, results in a message No Compatible Picoscope device found. If FRA4Picoscope does not work with DrDAQ, is there an alternative way to sweep the fraquency of the input signal and collect the output to compile Bode diagrams :?:

Hi Phil,

Technically you could create your own application using our Software Development kit to sweep the DrDaq, but you will need a PicoScope to use the FRA4Scope. The better specified PicoScopes for audio, will give you test results of a higher, more professional level (so a PicoScope 2204A will give you test results, but the Picocope 4262 will give you much more professional looking results).

That said it is possible to perform tests (although not gain tests) using a noise generator, (and there are many designs available, from a quick search on the internet, to build your own). One of our customers did just that and you can see the results of his method here: https://www.picotech.com/support/topic36891.html?&p=133051&hilit=glovisol+audio#p133051
