Why the measured value is scaled even I don't set it on PicoScope 6

Post by Link »

Hi!
I'm new to PicoScope 6. I found the measured value showed on the screen is weird.
The device I use is PicoTech 5244D MSO. The software is PicoTech 6.
When I test an 5V output with Channel A, I found the measured value displayed on the screen is 500 mv.The screenshot is attached. I have double-checked the voltage of the tested output is 5 V with multimeter.
So, why the measured value is automatically scaled? Do I have to calibrate first before I use the software?
I also found the measured value is scaled when running the demo provided by you officially from github. So, how to fix this?
Thanks a lot!

Is the scope probe set on x10 if yes then either change to x1 or use channel options menu to change the probe to x10 in the software.

That's it, I didn't know I should set the probe before. Thanks a lot!
