Error 1097 in 6000ExampleBlock

I'm trying to develop my own labview code that incorporates my new 6404C and I'm working through the GitHub examples first. For both the 6000ExampleBlock and 6000ExampleRapidBlock, I get error 1097, which I've traced back to first CallLibraryNodeFunction in the 6000GetBlock VI. I'm using 32 bit labview and the 32 bit SDK. I can't figure out what the issue is and would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
