CLI command Copy as Text

Post by jivoman75 »

Hello, I currently started using the PICO 2405A and I’m trying to integrate it on to our ATE. I’m first trying the CLI approach and so far so good. While going through the CLI automation commands I did see that there is a command called “ Copy.AsText.Checked=True ” . When this command is called, the program puts a check mark next to the sub menue Copy as Text, in the Edit menu. I was wondering, when this check mark is active, what does it do or how does it affect the Copy.AsText command?

Hi Jivoman,

In PicoScope 6, when 'Copy as text' is selected, it will allow you to copy and paste the sample values of the captured data into a text file, as opposed to copying and pasting the drawn waveform on the screen into an image file, which is what will happen when 'Copy as image' is selected instead. So,when using the automation commands, putting the check mark next to 'Copy.AsText' just means that all copy operations will be 'as text', into a text file. If the checkmark is put against 'Copy.AsImage' then all copy operations will be done 'as image', into an image file.
