Please check the datasheet of fluke 435 series 2 above....i want all these mesurement with pico 4824 with adding math channel in picoscope 6....Mainly i want 3 phase power, Voltage , current , thd value & percentage of voltage & current, apparent power , transient, energy calculation...
Can we do all or some of these measurement with 4824? If yes then Please guide us for adding math channel in software.
We are trying to cover as much as we can both on the forum, and on our help desk. However, unfortunately, the working from home 'new normal' seems to have created a lot more users making use of the opportunity to resolve some outstanding issues, experiment with ideas, or just learn some things, on PicoScopes and Loggers. This means that we are having to prioritise 'getting to respond to more people' over 'working on more detailed projects', of which creating Math Channels for 3-phase power measurement applications is more of a project than an answer. So please bear with us while we circle back around to it in the near future.
I am working on some new options to develop on the 4824. Do you have some work done on this and can we patch them?
Thank you
Hi Hanane, I was just asking out of curiosity. I actually have recently purchased use a 4444 which I intend to use for all sorts regarding 3 phase power.
Does that not depend exactly what you are measuring?
If you are only interested in a source voltage then you need 3, 4 if star connected.
If you are only interested in a source current then you need 3, 4 if star connected.
If you are interested in both a source voltage and a source current only then you need more surely?

We have no plans for allowing two or more scopes to be controlled from the same instance of the software.
Hi again Gerry, on the back of this I'm thinking of other ways to use more than one scope on one computer and have thought that maybe;
Use the unit(s) in virtual machines. Trouble with this approach is the amount of overhead that comes with using such an application. If you have tried it how did you find CPU and memory usage?
Run two instances of the software and use USB enumeration to ensure that each device connects with the correct instance of PicoScope. Certainly running two instances appears to be possible......
I don't have two Picoscopes otherwise I'd check it myself.
You can run two or more instances of the software with each instance connected to it's own scope, I regularly do this and they don't need to be in virtual machines.
