PicoScope SW does not start; LINUX

Post by Gonnam »

Hello,

I have to admit to be a rookie in using a USB scope. To install the linux software I used the instruction found under "openSUSE Leap 15.0 (zypper)" and installed it as root.
I am using the 2208B scope and latest release of openSUSE Leap 42.3.

Installation went well, but when I tried to start the picoscope application it doesn't and I get always the following error message "user doesn't belong to group pico.T...". There is no chance to extend the message to see what comes behind "pico.T...".
Doesn't matter if I execute the application as root or as standard user. How do I have to create the pico group and what is the full group name?

Sorry if these are silly questions but I am not so familiar with that stuff, using only standard applications on my Linux laptop

Appreciate your help

best regards
Gonnam
