Rapid capture mode problem

Post by naltieri »

A problem using Picoscope 6 in rapid capture mode, if one sets the number of segments to be captured to be for example 100, but in reality only 99 segments occur then Picoscope 6 will wait for the 100th segment, in many real life one off situations this is a regular occurrence so if using a scope one would expect that if the scope user manually stops the acquisition at any point regardless of whether all segments have been filled then the Picoscope software should recall all segments it has captured and display the results, however Picoscope 6 does not recall any segments captured and looses all data if the user manually stops the acquisition.
Grateful if an update to Picoscope software can be implemented to fix this flaw when using rapid capture mode.
Thanks.

This is already on the feature request list but is not a simple fix due to the architecture of the software and drivers.

Thanks for the reply Martyn, but is there anything that can be done to speed up the fix with rapid capture as we first reported this issue about 2 years ago.
