access denied error during driver installation

hello

I am having trouble in installing picoscope driver. In device manager, I would see westbridge with a yellow exclamation mark next to it. When I attempt installing the driver manually from Pico Technology\PicoScope 6\system\ folder, I get an error stating "access denied contact manufacturer for support" other times it would say "windows cannot confirm driver compatibility with hardware", or something similar. I tried using software in the included CD and the latest version from the website.

this computer is offline running windows 7 pro. device model is picoscope 4444.
I tried the device on three other windows 7 and 10 machines and it works.

the issue was related to antivirus software, trendmicro. once it was disabled, the driver installed normally
