AWG on a PicoScope 4444

Post by audiotom »

Hi,

I want to do some measurements on high power audio amplifiers and the 4444 together with the high voltage probe looks very good for that purpose, but it doesn't have an AWG. Differential inputs are very valuable for me, because the input signals are balanced and the output of these amplifiers would be short-circuited if i connect a probe that is connected to earth and i don't want to always have to carry a powerful isolation transformer with me.

Can i use for example an 2204a as the AWG and the 4444 as the oscilloscope in the same instance of the Picoscope software? Or is there another solution for this problem? The computer i want to use runs Windows 7 and linux Mint while for mobile use i have a laptop which runs Linux Mint.

Hi audiotom,

You would need to run a separate instance of PicoScope for each scope. If you are writing your own application using the Software Development Kit, it is possible to control two devices from the same application.

Hope this helps,
