Is it possible to do math with measurements? please help

Post by joshbarnes »

Hi!
I was wondering if it was possible to do math with measurements.
For example:
Signal is a pulse train with variable duty cycle/high cycle time, an MCU modifies the duty cycle/high cycle time (by adding a percentage OR a time)
I have the corresponding measurements from channel A and B, but to see if the signal alteration is consistent with frequency etc i have to change frequency, stop, do the math by hand, repeat.

In version 6.13 or later of the software there is a feature called Deep Measure, Measurements->DeepMeasure , have you looked at this it will provide a table for per cycle measurements for your captures across multiple buffers.

Alternatively there are Math Channels, Tools->MathChannels , for both Frequency and Duty which will plot these on the screen for each waveform buffer.
