Sequential Sampling vs real time

Post by Goocha »

Dear,
I would like more information to well understand the differences between real time (6000 series) and Sequential sampling (9000 series).

I don't understand how a 15GHz oscilloscope can have only a 1 MS/s sampling rate. Could you explain to me ?

I need to capture some packets (not all) on a 1,5 Gbit/s optical fiber. Does your Sequential sampling oscilloscope can do that ?

The 9000 series are a specialist tool for looking at repetitive clock based data patterns. They have accurate timing clocks but sample slowly and build up a picture over time and many sweeps.

They are not what you are looking for, and we do not have a real time scope with sufficient bandwidth to look at your signals.
