Reference Waveform Delay

Post by AlexMpico »

Having some frustration trying to control this feature.
I input a desired delay t but the function continually defaults to delay in 50ms increments. I reset it manually to the desired amount and it continually defaults.
Can't work it out.
Help please
Alex

Hi Alex,

Could you post you're psdata file so that we can see what you have setup.

Hi Gerry
I hope my attachment works.
This issue is that I have recorded a Prim Ig plus a Crk Sig on 2 channel scope.
Need to add a reference Cam signal and to align this signal correctly it needs to move 25.52ms to the right, so that the falling edge of the Cam signal is located in the middle of the Crk signal sync tooth gap.
When I input 25.52ms into the ref waveform alignment, the wave form snaps to position but instantly then skips forward to 150ms ... I can't get it to rest in the right position. The arrows seems to move it in 50ms increments.
Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong?
Alex

Hi Alex,

The issue with the delay control is to do with the initial entry, so you just need to readjust the value. If you just type in your required delay and hit return then, when the delay jumps to a non requested value just delete up to the decimal point, type in 25, then delete after the decimal point type in 52, and the waveform will jump to the required value.

Ok that's tricky. So you need to use a whole number first, then adjust for the decimal.
Not sure why. But it works. Scope Magic!!

I suppose it has something to do with the decimal delimiter some county's a . and others a ,
the language settings with a , gives most problems.

Right. That's making sense, being . not a , country .... I will do a little investigation ;-).,

Update: changed setting the "Metric" and seemed to fix the issue.
