inputting independantly calibrated data

Post by PAUL CARSON THERMO »

Hello,
I have recently purchased a TC-08 usb logger with x8 type K thermocouples. The probes and logger were sent for independant calibration - the logger and probes are being used to log temperatures in a steam sterlizer - 121.0 oC to 134.0 oC for 15 minutes.
I have data for all 8 thermocouples which were calibrated at 20.0oC : 50.0oC : 100.0oC :200.0oC.
My main question is how do I input the calibration data into the PICO logger.
An example is probe1 had 20.0oC applied to it, as the calibration reference. The reading back from the logger/probe1 was 20.09, how do I put this offset into the logger to maintain linearity?
Apologies for the long question...any replies gratefully accepted.
Paul.

Hello Paul,

You are not able to alter the calibration data in the TC-08, however, you may apply scaling to the recorded data in PicoLog from within the channel edit menu.

An explanation of how to do this can be found in the user guide on Page 34, 5.1.8.2 (http://www.picotech.com/document/pdf/plw044.pdf). You will also find the context sensitive help menu very useful for guiding you through the process.

Regards
John
