PicoScope 6.12.9 on OS 13.13.3 won't launch

New Pico user on Mac 13.13.3, tried installing Mono 5.8.1 first (pico app freezes.) Then installed Mono 5.10.0, app starts to launch but then after some activity, never launches (but doesn't freeze either.)

Read some blog entry about similar problems with earlier release. Not sure where to find Log... no Pico folder in Application Support. Have an older version of Mono (2.0) which is still running.

Hi peterx,

If you try starting the software and leave it for a couple of minutes does it start?

This might be related to an issue that we are aware of where the start-up on the first occasion takes a while.

I also can't get PicoScope 6.12.9 to start. After about 10 seconds, I get a crash report (attached). I'm running Mono 5.10.0 and OSX 10.13.4.

Hi Hitesh,

Thank you. I did try restart/relaunch... this time I got crash (report references Mono several times.)
Mono suggests compiling/running hello world app to test that it's working... maybe time tomorrow.

Hi peterx and jcbeck,

It looks as though there is an issue with the interaction with Mono Runtime 5.10. Please install the latest version of Mono Runtime 5.8. I have reported the issue to our Development Team.
