Connecting onto ADC-20 Terminal Board

Post by Grizzly_Gra »

Hi,
I have a PicoLog ADC-20 with a plug in terminal board and looking for a little guidance for getting started on a project we are looking at.

What I need to do is link on a pressure sensor and measure a voltage. The pressure sensor has a 4-20mA output and the voltage is a nominal 24vDC (only need to confirm power on / off against the pressure reading).

Can someone please give guidance on how to link these to the terminal board.

Thanks for any help given.

Referring to the Terminal Board Guide

Section 2.1.3 shows how to reduce the 24V to an acceptable range for the ADC20 input

Section 2.2 Shows how to measure current. For 4-20mA if you use a 120 Ohm resistor you will get 0.48V to 2.4V
