LabVIEW Error Message PICO_FPGA_FAIL

Post by Biturbo27 » Tue Feb 27, 2018 7:58 am

Hello everybody,

I'm Controlling my PicoScope 3405D via LabVIEW and it works quite fine.
But sometimes I get the Error Message 'PICO_FPGA_FAIL'. What does that mean?
At the end of my LabVIEW program I use the VI 'PS3000 Close' to end the PicoScope. Is there anything else that I have to do to end the PicoCope correctly?

Hi Biturbo27,

The PICO_FPGA_FAIL error usually indicates that the FPGA was not successfully setup. This could arise if the firmware has not been successfully written down to the device when the connection is opened.

Are you using a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 port and the supplied USB 3.0 cable?

After closing the device in LabVIEW, are you able to use the PicoScope application with the device?
