Great news for all Pico data logger users!
We have completely redesigned the PicoLog application from scratch and are proud to offer the first public beta* to our forum users.
The program uses a new .picolog file format which significantly improves data robustness, and has the ability to log virtually infinite data. Rather than logging to a single file, PicoLog 6 uses a database, protecting your recorded data against computer crashes or corruption. Unfortunately .picolog files are not backwards-compatible with the old .plw file format from PicoLog 5.
Another major improvement is cross-platform native support for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows, various Linux distros (64-bit only) and macOS. The .picolog file format is portable across platforms.
The software is available for download from https://www.picotech.com/downloads
* Please remember this is a beta version, and there may be bugs and reduced functionality. We welcome any feedback you have, either in this forum, or within the program itself (click the smiley face in the bottom left of the window to submit feedback).
This version fully supports the TC-08, PT-104, PicoLog CM3. Other devices such as PicoLog 1000, ADC-20/24 and DrDAQ are enabled but not fully supported yet.
Features include:
• Real-time data collection and display
• Visual logger and channel setup for easy configuration and viewing
• Available for Windows, macOS and Linux
• Virtually unlimited logging capacity to PC
• Robust database format minimizes data loss and corruption
• Simple and complex programmable alarms
• Up to 4 independent graph axes
• Channels and graphs can be scaled using lookup table or equation
• Data can be exported as CSV, clipboard image and PDF
• Supports multiple different PicoLog data loggers on the same PC
We value your input, so happy testing!

New PicoLog 6 beta software available
Re: New PicoLog 6 beta software available
I'd be interested in testing the beta once ADC-24 is fully supported. Do you have any information on which features aren't yet supported?

Re: New PicoLog 6 beta software available
Hi asfarley,
At the present moment, the digital I/O channels on the ADC-24 and terminal board layouts are not supported on the ADC-20/24.
We are also aware of some issues with the Linux and macOS versions which will be investigated.
Hope this helps,

Re: New PicoLog 6 beta software available
Sorry to insist, but since Picolog is in the rebuild phase, I again suggest to include connection between the ALARMS of the MATH channels AND the HARD WIRED OUTPUTS!!

Re: New PicoLog 6 beta software available
I have just edited my original post as there was a mistake.
PicoLog 6 supports Windows 32 and 64-bit natively (in other words the installer contains both versions and installs the correct one for your system).

Re: New PicoLog 6 beta software available
Having used this new version for a few days I'm not convinced it is actually good enough to use over the old version.
