3406D - 16 DI specification

Postby MisterT » Fri Dec 01, 2017 1:49 pm

I'm looking at a Picoscope 3406D and have some queries ?

1) Can you measure a 5V 50uS repetitive pulse on the 16 digital inputs ?
2) Can you measure a 32MHz square wave on the 16 digital inputs ?
3) Are the 16 digital inputs and measurements accessible via the SDK API for C# ?

I'm wondering whether I need a 4 input + 16 or whether I will need extra switches to route signals to the 4 analogue inputs.

The 3406D digital channels can detect signals up to 20V with a 5V threshold and a minimum pulse width of 5 ns, maximum input frequency of 100 MHz (200 Mb/s), so your signals sound OK.

The question will come down to what you actually mean by "measure" ?

The digital data is accessible in the SDK API, the API allows you to configure the scope and collect data, howver any measurement functionality has to be coded within the application.
