Serial data decoding

Post by Guest »

Is there a PICO sofware for reading serial communications on a Picoscope?

I would like to check text streams from a uP without a level shifting hardware and terminal prog.

Thanks!

Hi and thank you for your post. We have numerous scopes, depending on your signal that you are measuring this will be the deciding factor.

We normally say for square waves you need to sample at least 10 times the frequency of the input signal. i.e. a 10kHz signal will need to be sampled at 100kS/s. Please have a look at the following links:

Hope this helps.

Kind regards

We currently do not have any software for decoding serial data.
What type of serial protocol do you want to look at and which PicoScope do you have?
