Connecting pressure transducer of 4-20mA output

Postby junedfird » Wed Oct 04, 2017 11:13 am

Hi!

How can I connect 4-20 mA output pressure transducer to PT-104?

Please suggest any changes needed to accommodate this. Do I need any external power source?

Thanks!

A little bit of Ohms Law to select a resistor the 4 - 20mA current flows through, so that the voltage remains within the 2.5V range of the PT104, and then you can measure the voltage across the resistor.

If the sensor requires power then you will need to provide this as the PT104 is not setup for this.
