Change of the trigger time of saved waveforms (.psdata)

Post by jcapek »

Hi,
is there any way to change the trigger time (zero time) of saved waveforms (.psdata)?

Thank you,

Jiri

Create reference wfm from saved trace. Create math channel with time offset from it. Example:
{A (2)}[0.00001]
10us time advance on auto-named ref created from saved Ch A.

Thank you for your quick reaction.

I have 3 pulsed signals. One of them is rectangular voltage signal. I used the trigger to catch the beginning of the voltage pulse and then saved buffer of 32 waveforms for each process conditions investigated. Now, I need to do some statistic calculations using the PicoScope software.

The problem is that each pulse length is slightly different and it would be beneficial to move the trigger rather to the end of the pulse for the statistic measurements .

The measured process is quite complicated, thus I do not want to measure it again if not necessary.

You don't need to create the reference waveform, you just create the maths channel for example A[0.00001] or A[-0.00001]

However you need to be careful as there will then be parts of the trace, at the start or end, with empty values which can cause issues with certain maths functions.

Hi Martyn,
I really appreciate your help. I am trying to create the math channel based on you suggestion (see the attached picture), but this approach results in a copy of the waveform without any time shift. Am I doing anything wrong with the math channel?

Would need to see a screenshot of the data you are trying to move, to see if the number is correct.

And yes, it will create a copy that is time shifted.

It works! The number was too small.
I very appreciate your help.
Thank you
