PICO 3000 SW on VirtualBox USB problem

Post by pmartin »

Hi everybody,
today i bought a picoScope 3000 (200 Mhz 2 channels + MSO). I use a VirtualBox VM with Windows 10, installed on a MAC OS X host. My problem is that i cannot attach USB PICOSCOPE to my VM, so my work is blocked.

The MAC popup is
Failed to attach the USB device Pico Technology Ltd PicoScope 3000 Series PC Oscilloscope [0015] to the virtual machine W1064.

Failed to create a proxy device for the USB device. (Error: VERR_PDM_NO_USB_PORTS).

Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)
Component: ConsoleWrap
Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

How can i do?

Also, the mac OS X version, after installing both picoscope 6 and Mono, crashes at the startup.

Please help me...

Thanks in advance
Kind Regards,
PMartin

Hitesh

Hi pmartin,

Have you tried a USB 2.0 cable to see if the device can be connected? If not, you may need to contact the VirtualBox support team for information on bridging USB ports.

With regards to the crash, any information would be helpful. If you are using Mono 5.2 or later, please use Mono 5.0.1.1 instead.
