Picoscope 3423 commercial automotive kit

I want to purchase an oscilloscope to measure charging voltage spikes while driving a car. I need to log large quantities of data during this test. I also need to capture these spikes in small time frames (ms). Is this the correct tool for the job? And will it have detailed instructions for installation? Thanks, Larry

As you are interested in data capture over time, your application calls for a data logger rather than an oscilloscope which is included in the kit you mrntioned.
