EL023 EL030 Calibration

Post by hrf »

Hi,

We are a calibration lab and are using two EL023/EL030 systems internally.

I understand the EL023 and EL030 are always meant to be used as a system, as the EL030 probe is issued with calibration factors which must be implemented within the EL026, thus creating a system calibration.

However we are finding the humidity is about 6% high and out of spec. Our uncertainty for Humidity is 1.7%RH.

Two problems we have found.
1) There is not enough adjustment span for our calibration results to enable these units to be corrected.
2) Both systems we have are the same amount in error, one is new.

Please give advice on what you think we may be overlooking.

We have also discovered the EL026 is simply a 2 channel voltage converter. (Its internal reference is 2.5V and the inputs are halved before measuring). We may be able discover which of the probe and converter is playing up. What is the voltage to Temprature/Humidity relationship?

Cheers
Henry

I wish I could post my results here or a link, but the daft forum software thinks I was trying to post contact details even with the number within code tags :S Still I appear to have got round that!
