PicoScope 2105

Postby nickjosiah » Tue May 02, 2017 7:18 am

Hi guys,

Perhaps yall could shed some light on some of my data. I'm currently using a Pico 2105 PicoScope USB Hand Held PC Oscilloscope to collect voltage reading of a TEG. However, the moment i start the experiment, there seems to be a spike in the data collected.

The data collected as shown below

Time 6mm
(s) (mV)

0 499.649
10 5.9816275
20 3.120517

what is the reason for this?

Thank you

Are you using the PicoScope 6 software ? If yes then post a psdata file for us to see how you have things set up.
Are you starting and stopping data collection using the button on the scope ?
Is it just 1 sample every 10 seconds that you are collecting ?

This appears to be a bug in the driver, which I will notify to our development team, and appears to be linked with starting the software then plugging in the device.

To workaround load your desired settings then quickly change the timebase from your chosen value, to the fastest possible value 100ns/div to capture a minimum of one screen of data, then change it back to your desired setting for the test.
