Problem finding Pico 2000 (2406B)

Post by Alan_Large » Wed Apr 19, 2017 9:21 am

Running the PicoScope6 software, have no problems, finds the scope.
Using the example ps2000acon (C Console), I have no problems building the example (VS2015 x86), but if I run the example it always gives me the error code 3 - Unable to open the device. Red light on scope is on.
Any ideas please? Thanks.

Hi Alan,

The drivers in the current PicoSDK release do not support the newer PicoScope 2000 Series devices using the ps2000a driver.

Please e-mail support@picotech.com and we can provide you with updated drivers.

Did you obtain the C console example from our GitHub repository?

Hi Hitesh

I have a simmilar problem. The PicoScope6 software is working great. But now I need to use Labview 2016 instead. Im not able to see the PicoScope 2406B in the NI Max. The PicoSDK_32_10.6.12.41 is allready installed.
Is this the same problem?

Regards
Maurice

Hi Maurice,

I don't think so as the drivers included as part of the PicoSDK 10.6.12.41 support your device.

We provide examples via GitHub (you will need the examples available via the ps2000a folder) and these call the API functions from the ps2000a.dll that is installed by the PicoSDK installer to communicate with the PicoScope.

I hope this helps.
