PicoScope 6 problems

Post by Falconer »

Hi,

My problem is the unacurate RMS voltage measurment on certain frequencies. First I tought that is a hardware problem, but I tested the software with the built in demo mode, and I found out that the software is unaccurate. I measured at 300Hz, 315Hz and 400Hz. I had absolutely no problems at 300Hz and 400Hz, but at 315Hz withuout changing the P-P voltage the RMS voltage was not at the correct value.

Could you suggest me any solution for the problem? Is that a common bug, and is there any fixes that possibly could solve my problem?

In the first two you have a complete number of cycles across the trace, in the third one you don't so the value is probably currency for what is drawn in screen. Try using cycle at ruler, or between rulers, and see if that helps.
