2203 trigger instability

Post by per.tomas.larsson »

PicoScope® 6 - PC Oscilloscope software version: 6.12.5.2630
Model: PicoScope 2203
USB Version: 2.0
Hardware Version: 16
Driver Version: 2.2.0.16
OS: Windows 10 Pro

My picoscope 2203 seems to have a problem with time resoultion for triggering. Enclosed is a JPG file illustrating the issue. I have used a mask to illustrate that the oscilloscope seems to 'miss' tiggering.
Mask failures when triggering
Mask failures when triggering
.
The JPG shows the highest time resolution (200 ns/div), but the instability remains also at lower time resolutions.
What can be the cause of this?
Am I doing soemthing wrong?
Can this be fixed?

How often are the trigger events occurring ?

Can you post the psdata file, for this jpg.

It is a 1 microsecond negative pulse recurring every 20 microseconds.
I enclose a new JPG file and the corresponding psdata file with 32 buffer captures.
Once the problem starts, about 10 % to 20 % mask failures are recorded.

I have logged this with the development team to investigate, and will report back when I have an answer.
