Running PL1000 Excel example

Post by stevehywave » Tue Feb 21, 2017 12:02 pm

I attempt to run this in Excel but an error message appears saying "need pl0000.dll". I see this program is listed in the library files, I guess I need to link it to the Excel code, how do I do this?

Hi stevehywave,

If you have a 32-bit version of Excel, you will need to install the 32-bit PicoSDK, if you have a 64-bit version of Excel then you will need to install the 64-bit version of the PicoSDK.

You should be able to confirm whether the version you are using is 32-bit or 64-bit via the appropriate menu option for your version of software (e.g. File -> Account -> About Excel for MS Excel 2013).

The SDK installer adds the location of the drivers to the Windows PATH environment variable, so there should not be any need to copy dll files elsewhere unless required.
