log sweep

Postby zhouqin » Wed Feb 01, 2017 4:08 pm

PicoScope's function generator is very useful.
However, compared to stand-alone signal generators, it lacks log sweep capability (i.e. sweep frequency logarithmically instead of linearly). Log sweep can be useful when the measured frequency spans a few decades. For example, if I want to measure from 20 Hz to 2 MHz, then linear sweep with small steps (e.g. 1Hz) will take forever to complete, but with large steps (e.g. 100Hz) will only get a few data points in the low frequency region.
Could this function be added? This should only be a simple modification to the software.
Thanks!

Hi zhouqin,

I have added your comments to an existing feature request for consideration by our Development Team. I can't advise on if and when this feature would be added.
