measuring voltage using adc-16

Post by syah »

HEllO....

i use ADC-16 data logger. I want to measure voltage and interface it with data logger adc-16 but the maximum voltage that this data logger can measure is 2.5 volt. The max voltage that i want to measure is achieve 15 volt. So, what i must do and can u suggest me the circuit to reduce the voltage or for interfacing.Thank u for your help...

another question...
what is mean by 30V overload protection... ??

Hi

Thank you for your post.

You could use a potential divider to scale down the voltage. This is simply made with a couple of resistors and you can find information on how to calculate values etc on the internet.

The overvoltage protection of 30V is the value up to which the unit is protected. Thus for example if a 25V signal was accidently applied then unit will not be damaged (the unit cannot however read this voltage level). If a higher voltage of around 40V were applied then the unit may be damaged.

Best Regards
