resolution of .csv data

Post by jur01 »

Hi,

I am using Picolog 1216 to measure multiple ntc temperature sensors. The data in the exported .csv file has a 0.001 Volt resolution, where the 12 bit AD converter should provide a 0.00061 Volt resolution. Hence there is a difference between the resolution of a parameter that is calculated in PicoLog for windows vs. a calculation in Excel (based on the export file). Is there a possibility to increase the resolution of the export file?

Hope that somebody can help.

Best regards,

Hi jur01,

You need to increase the displayed resolution by double clicking the channel, and then selecting 'Options->OK', ticking the 'Use parameter formatting' box, and then changing the 'Decimal places' to 5.

Dear Gerry,

Thank you for your quick response. Your solution works for new measurements. Is there something I can do with existing recordings?

Best regards,
