Generate Single Sine Signal by Ext Trigger Source and record

Postby PICO_TUM » Wed Jul 13, 2016 5:30 pm

Hi,
beforehand: I checked the topics in the forum and all guides.

My problem:
I have an external trigger source (TTL signal). With this source a signal should be generated by the Picoscope 5244B. A single sinus wave with e.g. 100 kHz. By using the siggenbuilt function I just get continous recorded sinus and also not triggered around zero time (by using pre and post trigger).

So is there a way to send an external trigger TTL signal into the Picoscope which leads to a generated single sinus wave which can be recorded by the Picoscope e.g. ChannelA with a pre and post trigger?!

Would be grateful to get some quick help!

Thanks, Fabian

Hi Fabian,

Could you please post your code so that I can see how you are calling the setSigGenBuiltIn function? Is it being called before the call to start data collection?

It should be possible to trigger the signal generator using the external trigger, and have a separate trigger on channel A to capture the data when the trigger condition is met.
