Crest Factor measurement wrong

Postby rwalborn » Thu Jun 01, 2006 9:21 pm

When I measure the crest factor of a sine wave, the crest factor measures 2.865. The crest factor of a sine wave is 1.414. It appears the software is calculating RMS to peak to peak value isntead of RMS to peak.
It is off by a factor of 2.
Pico Scope 2200 series software 5.13.9.

Anyone else seen this?

Hello,

Our software team is working on this.

We should see this in the next software release.
