PicoScope on Ubuntu 15.10 - no suitable device found

Post by H2208 »

I've installed PicoScope 6.11.13.3 Beta on Ubuntu 15.10 and it is running fine in demo mode. But if I connect the PicoScope 2208B hardware it says " no suitable device found". The same hardware is running fine on a Windows 8.1 system.
I've rebooted the Linux system several times and also installed the latest updates. Nothing helped. I've also tried different USB interfaces. The PC is a Lenovo T61 notebook.

I've already searched in this forum for similary problems but can not find a solution. What can I do? Thank you!

Please ignore this support request - I fixed it and it is now running.
I've got back to the Windows system and found that this is also not working. So I've changed the USB cable and the the Windows system was up again. Then I've tried the Ubuntu system and this is now also running. Something seem to be wrong with the USB cable (the original blue one). If I use the cable out of our stock everything is ok.

Thank you for your help and sorry to keep you busy.
