Installation PT 104 on Ubuntu 14.04

Postby Luca Minzoni » Tue Apr 26, 2016 1:26 pm

Hello,
i'm trying to install my new PT 104 on my Ubuntu system. I managed to install picoscope from here: https://www.picotech.com/downloads/linux, and i should have installed the drivers. But when i launch picoscope the software doesn't find the PT 104. I run the software usb test and it says i can use the device, is there a particular procedure to run the software?
Thank you for the help, cheers,
Luca.

Hi Luca,

The PicoScope software only supports our real-time PicoScope models as well as the PicoLog 1000 Series data loggers and the USB DrDAQ.

The PicoLog data logging software is only available for certain Microsoft Windows operating systems so to use the USB PT-104 on a Linux platform, you would have to write your own software application using the libusbpt104 driver or use a virtual machine with a guest Windows operating system.
