automatic calculation of average, autosave after hotkey

Post by vinc »

Hello to all,

I read, that there is a way to create macros in the picotech software but I cannot figure out how to do this.

My ideal macro would do the following and is initiated by a shortcut like “CTRL+S”

Save my earlier created math functions, that average channel C and D in one file including the time in three colums, as a txt or csv file in a folder of my choice with a filename of my choice, (if I could choose the name every time I press CTRL+S it would be perfect)

Like:

Time Voltage Current
-2 0 0
-1 0 0
0 10 0
1 15 5
2 20 10
3 25 15
...

Voltage = math function that averages e.g. 32 waveforms of channel C
Current = math function that averages e.g. 32 waveforms of channel C

Is there a way to achieve this?

Cheers
Vincent

Hi Vincent,

Actually you wouldn't need a Macro just to save a previously created set of waveforms. We have the ability to use keyboard short-cuts in PicoScope 6, and you can save a CSV file of all three channels (i.e. including the maths average channel) using a keyboard shortcut of your choice by creating a custom keyboard map. The detail of how to do this can be found here: topic14377.html.
