Rectifier Activity Logging

Post by Spanner »

I want to be able to log the activity of a number of electroplating baths. Each bath has a rectifier that outputs anywhere from -12vdc to +12vdc. I need to be able to see what voltage each rectifier has been outputting over a period of 24 hours. Is there anything available, with up to 10 inputs, that can plug into an old PC and collect this data without me having to spend thousands on subcontracting the design and installation to some outside body? I look forward to your response. Many Thanks, Spanner.

Hello Spanner,

You can use a couple of different options here.

The ADC11 11-channel data logger or the ADC24 16-channel data logger.

Both units have multiple inputs but differ as follows:

The ADC11 has an input range of 0-2.5v, the ADC24 has many ranges but the max is ±2500mV. Both devices would require a potential divider to bring the voltage into range and the ADC11 would require a DC offset to allow for the -12v expected.
