Using MATLAB 2016a with the Pico Technology SDK

Post by Hitesh »

The MathWorks, Inc. have recently released MATLAB 2016a. This version is only available as a 64-bit version for Microsoft Windows platforms as per the Platform Road Map for the MATLAB Product Families page on their website.

Customers wishing to use MATLAB 2016a or later versions on Microsoft Windows operating systems with Pico Technology hardware products will need to download and install the 64-bit version of the Pico Technology Software Development Kit (SDK) from our Downloads page.

For Customers wishing to continue using our 32-bit Software Development Kit with MATLAB, we recommend using MATLAB 2015b 32-bit (or MATLAB 2015a 32-bit for Windows XP and Vista).

As long as the 64-bit compatibility layer 'thunk' dll libary files for our shared libaries are present on the MATLAB path, there will be no need to configure a C compiler.
