PicoScope 6.11.10.1608 generating corrupt .mat files

Post by labrat »

Hello,

After updating to the most current version of PS6 software, I am facing an issue of .mat files being corrupted using the exact same setting I was successful with in the past.

I do not know which version of PS6 I was running before the update.

I am working with MATLAB 8.3.0.532 (R2014a), 64-bit.

Attached are working (20151219-0001) and non-working (20160218-0001) .psdata files.

I am getting the following error message in MATLAB:
"Error using load
Unable to read MAT-file C:\...\20160218-0001_001.mat
File may be corrupt."

Yesterday, I updated to the most recent version but did not take any data. I did, however, take .mat data on the day before that, which works just fine, but I didn't capture any .psdata files.

Also, what happened to the "Only save zoomed region(s)" save setting?

Please let me know if you need any more info from me.

Thanks!

Hi again,

Is there any way to download the previous version of PS6 software (one from 2015) or rollback the update? It worked fine before the update.

The project is somewhat time sensitive, so help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hitesh

Hi labrat,

Apologies for a delay in someone responding to you.

We are aware of an issue relating to the export of data to .mat format in the current stable release of PicoScope 6.11. You might find that if you highlight the .mat file in the Current Folder view in MATLAB that you can load in the contents of Channel A.

Could you please send an e-mail to support@picotech.com and we can make an older version available to you.

Regards,
