Wireless transmission with Pico ADC-20 to computer

Post by Ernieguy »

I am a beginner who wants to learn 2 things.

1. How to use some sort of wireless data transmission from my Pico ADC-20/ADC-24 Data Logger to my computer.

2. What software could I use to do calculus & differential equations with my data? Mathematica? MatLab? Freeware?

Thank you,
Ernieguy

Hello Ernieguy,

A1) You could use one these-
Wireless 4-Port USB Sharing Station. This has Wifi/Ethernet connections.
http://www.iogear.com/product/GUWIP204/
(We have tested this with our PicoScope's and the PicoScope 6 software)

Another option-
You can setup picolog software to run in client/server mode.-
-Setup Picolog with the datalogger in server mode on one pc, that uses wifi.
-On another pc setup picolog in client mode, and connect to the Picolog server PC.
For more details See page 19 of -
https://www.picotech.com/download/manua ... sGuide.pdf

A2) In the Picolog software you can scale each channel input "Parameter scaling" and also create, "calculated parameters"-
See page 35 and 38 https://www.picotech.com/download/manua ... sGuide.pdf
Picolog supports-
( ),-,+,*,/ Functions- e^x, log10, loge, power, modulo, square root (see page 134)

To do differential equations, you could use a use 3rd party tool-
Mathematica, MATLAB, Scilab etc

Have you looked at our SDK examples? So you can control the devices directly. See our SDK post here-
