Question on signal generator.

Post by KeithSloan »

I am new to picoscope and running on Mac & linux as I have problems with the Mac version.
Anyway I was trying the signal generator. If I choose amplitude 1V and then offset 1V it gives me a signal going from 0 to 2 volts. If I then increase the amplitude to 2V nothing changes. I was hoping I could generate a square wave going from 0 to 3.3V I assume that is not possible which is a bit disappointing :( . Looks like I will have to power up my oldie Goldstar 0S 9020g

Hi,
Yes our scopes signal generator/AWG outputs have a limited output range adjustable to ±2 volts.

Is it not possible to improve the possibilities of the offset voltage. The current range is -2v to +2v i.e. 4v which is very understandable for a device powered by a 5v USB. But it would be a good improvement if one could adjust the offset to be 1.65v and the range to 3.3v so that one could have a square wave from 0v to 3.3v
