Linux Picoscope 6.11.8.10 CRASH

Post by mchouinard »

Hi have been using Linux Mint 7.0 with Picoscope version 6.11.8.3 and it was fine until I made an upgrade to 6.11.8.10. I reinstalled the on a Dell laptop Linux Mint 7.2 with same CRASH result. Pretty please could you make available the previous version 6.11.8.3 until bugs are fixed?

Don't get me wrong I understand this is beta stuff...but it use to work! I have included picture of a working 6.11.8.3

FYI-

I installed version 6.11.8.3 on linux Mint 17.3 and it is working fine no crash thus far.

A note should be made available to indicate proper roll back process.
Step required are as follow. A) Install actual version (this will enable proper installation) B) download earlier version from link provided.
C) uninstall curent version ex: sudo apt-get remove picoscope ( this will remove unwanted version but leave key software component in place
D) Open download folder right click and choose to intall with software management tool. ( a warning will issue to advise of newer version available)
just clic to install chosen version.
E) Optional you may disable the Pico link in the software source manager to prevent unwanted automatique update.
