MATLAB 64-bit versions and thunk libraries

Post by Hitesh »

Hi,

As part of our Instrument Driver packages, we provide MATLAB prototype files, located in folders corresponding to the architecture e.g. win32 for a 32-bit version of MATLAB.

The advantage of using prototype files is that it also provides the User with the ability to use enumeration and structure information extracted from the relevant driver API header file.

When using prototype files with a 64-bit version of MATLAB, a corresponding thunk library is required. This acts as a compatibility layer for MATLAB.

As shared library files cannot be uploaded to File Exchange, we make the thunk library files available via the Software Development Kit for Windows platforms – below is an example of where to locate the files for the PicoScope 6000 Series.
