The best choice to measure conductivity and low voltage?

Post by atupha »

Hello all,
I want to build a measurement system. It includes 2 separate measurements: conductivity and low DC voltage.
1. Conductivity measurement: Just take resistance measurement at various temperatures, automatically record and graph Conductivity - Temperature (converted to conductivity by applying the standard equation).
2. Low DC voltage measurement: With constant current applied, I want to measure low voltage(0.01 mV-10 mV) on 2 parallel channels at various temperatures. Record both channel data together and take a relative graph (V-V graph) to take slope value (similar above).
What equipment would I need to purchase to achieve this? :?: :?:

Hello,

Our picoscopes and dataloggers can't measure resistance only voltage. I don't see how Conductivity and a low voltage measurement would be different as these directly related.
(We do have the DrDAQ which can measure resistance - 0 to 1 MΩ, Accuracy is only 5%. 1 channel)

Your low voltage measurement what resolution do you need 8/12 bit? What is the voltage range of the signal 0- 10mV?
If signal range is 0- 10mV you may need amplify the signal before before feeding it into scope/datalogger.
Do need to measure the temperature with pico unit also?
