About data reduction to just the statistics of interest

Post by bittware »

Hi,
I'd like to capture the integral value of a fast pulse (5us width) in real time with min. time interval of 2ms.
For PC can not process the integration in real time, I wish Picoscope could execute the math function on-the-fly and just give PC the end result.
I checked Picoscope programming guide and found the downsampling mode, but without integral value.
So my thoughts are:
1. In traditional scope, there is a tpye of ''area'' measurement. Is there counterpart in Picoscope? If yes, can I regard it as real time processing result and just take this single integration result value out when scope is triggerred?
2. Can I use certain math function to achieve my goal?

Hope to get your advice on this. Thanks in advance.

There is an integral maths channel which may be what you are looking for. Tools->Maths Channels to launch the Maths Channel Dialog, and then Create->Next->Advanced where you will find the Integral function.
