Picoscope on El Capitan

Post by haggerty »

Hello,

I was using Picoscope 6.11.6.31 beta for Mac successfully with Yosemite (Mac OS 10.10.5), but it no longer starts in El Capitan (MacOS 10.11). The message is "Mono installation not found." I tried Mono 4.0.4.4 (which says it has an El Capitan hotfix) and a preview edition 4.2.0, but neither starts. I can start the gui from the command line with

/Applications/PicoScope6.app/Contents/MacOS/picoscope

but in 4.2.0 it doesn't find my device; in 4.0.4.4, it seems to mostly work, although it may feel a little sluggish.

I guess there is some issue with mono being in the PATH, and it is certainly in the PATH when run from a shell:

[~]$ mono --version
Mono JIT compiler version 4.0.4 ((detached/d481017 Mon Sep 28 17:32:19 EDT 2015)
