USB TC-08 accuracy above a 30C cold junction

Post by EuanB »

The manual states that the TC-08 measurement accuracy is between 20-30C and the unit will work to 50C max.
I want to put the unit in an oven with what is being measured to avoid long thermocouple lengths.
Do you have any data on the TC-08 accuracy at temperatures up to 50C.
I am using Type K thermocouples

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for your post.

The manual states the ideal operating temperature range. The 50°C temperature is the maximum operating temperature. This is due to the cold junction compensation. Stepping outside this range will throw your readings.
Our advice is to stay within the 50°C upper limit and quoted accuracies are based on temperatures 20-30°C.

If other users have experience of upper temp limits, feel free to share with this user!

Best regards,
Michael
