x64 software cannot open scope

Post by ljspeltdutch » Fri Jul 17, 2015 8:20 am

I'm having trouble with the picoscope3000 example for a 3203D. I can get both win32 and x64 configurations to compile (with the different dlls and .libs of course), but when I try to use my x64 version to open the scope I get the error "unable to open device" error code 0x00000003.

The win32 version and picoscope software both have no problem opening the devie, anyone come across this problem/ideas on solution.

Hi ljspeltdutch,

Are you using the same dll for the 32-bit version as that provided in the PicoScope 6 installation directory?

The USB kernel drivers had a change made for USB 3.0 device so the drivers in the SDK will not work with USB 3.0 products if PicoScope 6.10.16 or later have been installed.

Please e-mail support@picotech.com and we will make a new SDK installer available to you.
