windows message each time I connect my 3206 to any P.C.

Post by Steve Troop »

Every time I connect my Picoscope 3206 to my laptop or desktop the following message appears on the screen;
"This USB device can perform faster if you connect it to a hi-speed USB 2.0 port. For a list of available ports click here."
My laptop is a eight month old Toshiba Satellite, P35 with all USB 2.0 ports.
My desktop is a home built Pentium P3, 800MHZ. Using all SCSI devices and a PCI to USB 2.0 converter. What's up?

Thanx for any assistance!

Hi

Thank you for your post.

This message is normal. It is because when you first connect the scope it communicates in USB1 mode. It is then when you open the software that it switches to USB2 mode. You can check that USB2 is beign used in Help | About of Picoscope.

Hope this helps

Best Regards
